AN AWARD-winning West End and Broadway star will unveil his newest material in Colwyn Bay this October.

Welsh stage performer extraordinaire and singing sensation John Owen-Jones will stop off in Theatr Colwyn as part of a limited, five date tour to coincide with his fourth solo album Spotlight.

The singer is perhaps best known for his stage career, and has played The Phantom more than any other West End actor, as well as being the youngest actor to ever play Jean Valjean in Les Misérables.

He most recently reprised his roles as Valjean on and as the lead in The Phantom Of The Opera on both shows' 25th anniversary UK tours.

His latest album will feature John’s unique take on tracks from musicals and more, with music performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of John’s long time musical collaborator, John Quirk.

Owen-Jones said: “I think Spotlight could be my best album yet!

"I think it’s a really exciting selection of songs and the 65-piece City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra sound amazing. I can’t wait for people to hear it."

Fans can expect to hear material off his brand new album alongside a selection of songs that have helped make him the well loved performer that he is today including I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables, Some Enchanted Evening from South Pacific and more hits including From Now On from The Greatest Showman.

John Owen-Jones will take to the stage in Theatr Colwyn on Thursday, October 4 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £26 available from theatrcolwyn.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01492 577888.
