THE first cast members of Rhyl's 2018 panto have been revealed...oh yes they have!

This year, the Pavilion will launch Aladdin from Wednesday, December 12 until Saturday, January 5 - with former Emmerdale and Coronation Street actor Jonathan Wrather playing the villain Abanazar.

Aladdin will be the first time the soap star, best known for playing the controversial and conflicted Pierce Harris, has performed at the venue.

Wrather also played Joe Carter in Coronation Street, and is known for his roles in Silent Witness, Jo, Waterloo Road, Bones, Casualty, Fat Friends and Clocking Off.

Joining Wrather on the bill is Denbigh actor and Rhyl panto mainstay Sean Jones, returning for his seventh stint with the theatre as Wishee Washee and Nick Jnr's Go!Go!Go! actor Gemma Naylor as Princess Jasmine.

Sean is mostly familiar to theatre goers for his award winning portrayal of Mickey in Willy Russell's smash hit musical Blood Brothers and has appeared in numerous TV shows with appearances on Emmerdale, The Royal Today and Hollyoaks.

Tickets start at £10 and are available now from rhylpavilion.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01745 330000.
