Actress Billie Piper wanted to “punch” the crew changing her clothes in the play Yerma – because she could not see them.
The former Doctor Who star, 34, won an Olivier Award last month for her role in the production at the Young Vic.
But she tells The Graham Norton Show: “In the blackouts between acts we stay on the stage and guys with night vision goggles change our clothes and give us props.
“The first time it happened it felt very threatening and I wanted to punch them.”
Piper said she felt guilty about her euphoric response to winning the best actress gong at the Oliviers, where she was up against double Oscar-winner Glenda Jackson.
“When I won I turned around to Glenda and said ‘Yes!’ with my fist in the air,” she says.
“It only came back to me a few weeks later. I don’t know what I was doing and it was really unnecessary.
“I didn’t speak to her after, I just left. It was bad!”
Actor Charlie Hunnam, director Guy Ritchie, comedian Jason Manford and singer Imelda May are also on Friday’s show.
