Ryan Gosling has given fans a rare glimpse into his private life with Eva Mendes and their children, saying it is “like a dream”.
The La La Land star and actress Eva have two daughters together – Esmeralda, two, and eight-month-old Amada.
Opening up to GQ magazine, Ryan said fatherhood definitely suits him.
He said: “Your whole life, you hear what it’s like to have kids, and all the cliches are true.
“I felt I knew that everything would be different, but until you experience that, there’s no way to really know what people mean.
“Eva’s the dream mother, and they’re dream babies, and it’s like a dream that I’m having right now,” he went on.
“I’m dreaming it all. So I feel so lucky.”
Ryan, 36, said before becoming a dad he had not really thought too much about being a parent.
“There was nothing kind of premeditated about it, you know,” he said.
“It just suddenly was: My life had changed. And thank God it did.”
