Rachel McAdams has said a Mean Girls reunion would be “exciting” as she revealed the script for the 2004 film remains one of her favourites.

The Canadian actress, who played queen bee Regina George alongside Lindsay Lohan in the teen hit, praised Tina Fey’s screenplay and said she would love to team up again on a future project.

Asked about the likelihood of a Mean Girls reunion, she told the Press Association: “I don’t know. It would be exciting. We reunited for a photo shoot a couple of years ago, but I don’t know. I would do anything with Tina Fey, so if she’s up for it.”

She added: “It’s still one of my favourite scripts I’ve ever read. I was saying I’ll play any part in this please, please, please, so I would love to work with her again.”

Rachel, who is known for her roles in The Notebook and Spotlight, said she has yet to discuss a reunion with her fellow cast members.

Mean Girls, which also starred Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert, has become a cult classic over the years.
