Everyone has been longing for a Spice Girls reunion, but it seems the five-piece just won’t get together to Spice up our lives just yet.

However, three of the famous ladies have got together for what looks like a really fun night in, and it’s giving us great, great joy.

Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton – otherwise known as Ginger, Scary and Baby Spice – shared a series of posts on Instagram as they ate cake and drank tea and basically just larked around during a girls’ night in. How fantastic!

The threesome, who have renamed themselves GEM as a group, appeared to be having an absolute whale of a time in the absence of their Spice Girls cohorts Victoria Beckham and Mel C.

Along with one funny video clip, Mel B gushed: “On a Friday night all you need is tea, cake, wine and friendship!”

And Emma added: “Hanging with my girls yipppppeeee #girlpower #wichesofeastwick @emmaleebunton @therealgerihalliwell it’s not a chip on my shoulder it’s a Banna (sic).”

Geri described their evening as a “kitchen disco”.

Emma recently confessed she is keen for another Spice Girls reunion, but admitted – “we need a Posh”, as Victoria doesn’t want to be involved.

But Emma is holding out hope that she can change her friend’s mind, as she told This Morning: “There’s nothing set in stone. I personally think we should do something, it would be lovely.”

The subject of a Spice Girls reunion cropped up between the pair recently when Emma attended a 41st birthday bash thrown by singer turned fashion designer Victoria for husband David.

She said Victoria “wishes us the best”, but wasn’t keen on the idea, and added: “When I was at David’s birthday, we had a chat about it. She (Victoria) said, ‘You’ve got to do something. I just don’t feel like… you know’.

“We’ve known that (she’s felt that way) for a while.

“Maybe she will change her mind. Sometimes she does do that. She might want to do it in time.”
