Britney Spears has admitted she felt “awkward” filming Carpool Karaoke with James Corden.

The pop superstar was the latest celebrity to join the British funnyman on his Late, Late show sketch, as the pair sang along to some of her biggest hits.

Britney has since revealed she told James she was tired of hearing two of the songs featured on the segment – Oops I Did It Again and Baby One More Time.

In an interview with New York radio station KTU 103.5 FM, the singer said she had fun working with James but he “controlled the whole thing” in deciding which songs would be played.

She told morning presenters Cubby and Carolina: “The guy was just so incredibly sweet. I had no idea he has kids, he’s like a teddy bear. I was like, ‘I just want to hug you right now’.

“It was fun. It was a little awkward driving by grocery stores. People walk by and there are like 18 cameras around us. This is just so awkward.”

She added: “Sometimes I got on to him and said, ‘I don’t want to hear that song again’,” she said. “They probably didn’t show that part.”

Asked which songs she didn’t want to hear again, Britney replied: “Of course Baby and Oops. Oh my god and he kept playing them. He put a damn wig on for it. Yeah I totally went along with it.”
