Ainsley Harriott promised that, if the public put him through to Strictly Come Dancing’s Movie Week, we’d get to see him as a dancing penguin.

Luckily for Ainsley – and for us – he survived the first public vote, with Iwan Thomas and Ola Jordan becoming the first couple to exit the BBC ballroom competition.

True to his word, the TV chef will be dancing the Cha Cha with partner Natalie Lowe to Boogie Wonderland from Happy Feet. We can’t think of any couple more suited to the song, with a smile rarely leaving Ainsley’s face.

Meanwhile, Peter Andre will be performing one of the series’ first two Paso Dobles as he combines the fierce character of the matador with the devilish air of Johnny Depp.

He and Janette Manrana will be dancing to He’s A Pirate from Pirates Of The Caribbean.

The second Paso will be performed by Anthony Ogogo and Oti Mabuse, who will be dancing to everyone’s favourite motivational tune, Eye Of The Tiger from Rocky.

And when Sam Smith released his James Bond Spectre theme Writing’s On The Wall, could he have imagined that it would have inspired ex-Corrie star Georgia May Foote and her partner Giovanni Pernice to dance the Rumba?

Jeremy Vine will be channelling Fred Astaire (hopefully) as he performs the Charleston to the Irving Berlin classic, Top Hat, White Tie And Tails, from Top Hat, with partner Karen Clifton.

The high-energy Charleston should suit Kellie Bright and Kevin Clifton as they dance to Cantina Band from Star Wars – one of the most iconic movie scores of all time.

Anton Du Beke will have a chance to showcase his partner Katie Derham’s talents, and bring out his inner Richard Gere, as they dance the Cha Cha to Pretty Woman from… Pretty Woman.

Another Cha Cha will come from Daniel O’Donnell and Kristina Rihanoff, who will be performing to Summer Nights from Grease. What will the Irish crooner’s fans think of him as Danny Zuko?

Last week Jamelia and her partner Tristan McManus were saved by the judges after ending up in the dance off, so they’ll have a lot to prove as they dance the Salsa to Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel from Charlie’s Angels.

Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani will be going for a tune from cult classic Pulp Fiction as they jive to a medley of Misirlou and You Never Can Tell. After having his own long locks cut off for the show, will Jay be adopting the famous John Travolta ponytail for his dance?

Anita Rani and Gleb Savchenko will dance the American Smooth to Unchained Melody from Ghost, while Kirsty Gallacher and Brendan Cole’s American Smooth will be to He’s A Tramp from Lady And The Tramp.

Helen George and Aljaz Skorjanec will perform the Foxtrot to I Wanna Be Loved By You from Some Like It Hot.

Luckily for Carol Kirkwood, she has the Quickstep this week to Wash That Man from South Pacific – which means she gets to stay safely in hold with Pasha Kovalev for most of the time.
