Jodie Kidd says her new husband has given her the " confidence to go and conquer the world" after the pair tied the knot and celebrated with a party at home.

The former model walked down the aisle just over a year after she first met former soldier David Blakeley.

She told Hello! Magazine: "It was extraordinary. Everything has changed in my life. He has given me the confidence to go and conquer the world."

The pair married in Holy Trinity Church, Plaistow, West Sussex, before hosting the reception at the 16th century home they share with her two-year-old son Indio.

They was even room at the "intimate" ceremony for Betsey - the classic 1953 Jaguar XK120 that they drove to victory in a road race in Italy earlier this year.

David said: " She was our official wedding car and shared our special day with us."

Jodie, 35, said her new husband had restored her faith in marriage which had been knocked by the breakdown of her parents' relationship and her own brief first marriage.

She said: " As soon as David and I met, I went through a huge 360 in my mind and thought, 'that's it, we're going to spend the rest of our lives together'."
