Lily Allen has revealed she turned down a role in Game Of Thrones, because the storyline felt "too incestuous".

The Air Balloon singer said during a chat with fans on Reddit that she was offered the role of princess Yara Greyjoy, where she would have acted as the screen sibling of her real-life brother Alfie (Theon Greyjoy).

The storyline saw Theon getting intimate with Yara in her saddle on the horse, before he discovered they are related.

"I've been asked to do a Game Of Thrones cameo. They asked me if I'd be interested in playing Theon's sister. I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and s***," Lily said.

"Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks," she added.

Lily admitted she found her "gifted" brother's scenes with Gemma Whelan, who took on the role of Yara in the medieval fantasy series, "very difficult to watch".

The 29-year-old - who was promoting the release of her new album Sheezus - revealed she would still like to appear on the show, but as a musical guest.

"I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though," she said.
