Darcey Bussell has revealed that she loves her glamorous outfits on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 44-year-old retired ballerina joked that she was probably the vainest judge on the panel, where she sits alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman.

"Probably me! You should see all the outfits I have to wear. But I love going out choosing my dresses," she told OK!

"For me, part of the fun of doing Strictly is wearing the beautiful dresses - even if I am sitting behind a desk."

Darcey, who replaced Alesha Dixon on the tenth series in 2012, said she is enjoying this year's series, but sometimes struggles to hold back her laughter on the live shows.

"I don't mind being one of the lads with them (the other judges). They are all amazing and sometimes it really is hard trying to keep a straight face," she said, adding: "I feel fortunate that I am not sitting too near Bruno. He is infectious!"

While she declined to comment on her favourite celebrity dancer, she admitted she had initially had doubts that this year's contestants - down to the final six of Susanna Reid, Abbey Clancy, Patrick Robinson, Natalie Gumede, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Ashley Taylor Dawson - would live up to last year's line-up, which included Olympians Louis Smith and Victoria Pendleton.

"I really do think this year has been fantastic. Because last year's series was so good, we were wondering if it could be as good this year, but now it's huge again," she said.

"We have got at least four contestants who should be in the final."
