You’d like to think by the second episode of a TV drama maybe things would start seeming a bit less confusing. But, nope, that is definitely not the case with BBC One’s The Missing.

The British-American thriller series follows the story of Alice Webster, who was abducted as a school girl from the side of the road in Germany.

But people are confused who Alice really is. Another girl, Sophie Giroux, was abducted around the same time – Giroux’s disappearance was a case investigator Julien Baptiste studied, and there are links with the mysterious events surrounding Alice.

So, is Alice actually Sophie? Is Sophie actually Alice? NO ONE KNOWS.

But what was really stressing people out is they felt the confusion could have been easily sorted by a DNA test, surely?

In fact, the only thing stressing people out more than the lack of DNA testing seemed to be Alice’s lack of lip balm.

At least in the end a character in the show heard Twitter’s cries and finally suggested doing a DNA test.

*People on Twitter pat themselves on the back*

Blimey, watching TV is stressful.
