Guy Ritchie has shared a first image from Knights Of The Round Table.

The Sherlock Holmes filmmaker, who joined Twitter and Instagram in February, posted a selfie of himself and Charlie Hunnam on the set of his King Arthur movie.

Charlie is starring as a “streetwise young” Arthur Pendragon, who grows up to be King Arthur, with Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey portraying Guinevere in the film.

Jude Law – who previously starred in Guy’s Sherlock Holmes films – is in talks to play the villainous Vortigern, while Djimon Hounsou had been tipped to portray Merlin-type character Bedivere, a mentor to the young king.

Plot details for Knights Of The Round Table, written by Joby Harold, are being kept under wraps, although it will tell the story of the ruler and his knights of the kingdom of Camelot.

Filming is taking place at the Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden, with further shooting on location in Wales and Scotland.

The film, which is tipped to be the start of a possible six-instalment franchise for Warner Bros, is scheduled for release in 2016.
