Chloe Grace Moretz has revealed that acting is her true passion.

The Kick-Ass actress said she wouldn't let anything else deter her from her love of filmmaking as she promoted her new film If I Stay, which sees her playing cellist Mia Hall.

"One of the first things that I was able to justify and connect with on a personal level with Mia was her passion for music and how she found it at eight years old," she told E! News.

"I found acting when I was five years old so we both kind of had these careers that we chose ourselves to kind of follow and follow our dreams."

The 17-year-old actress added: "We're kind of the ones that try to stay on track. We're the ones to tell ourselves to keep going and to not let anything bring you down or change you."

Chloe, who has found her friendship with Brooklyn Beckham under scrutiny, hinted she would never let romance get in the way of her acting career.

"We wouldn't give up on our one true love. No matter how much we love a guy or how much we love whoever else, we care the most about what we found first and what our one true love was first," she said.
