Katie Price reportedly allowed Kieran Hayler into the operating theatre during her fifth baby's birth by Caesarean and held his hand throughout the delivery.

The glamour model split from husband Kieran during her pregnancy after accusing him of having an affair with her close friend Jane Pountney, but the couple have been trying to reconcile in recent weeks.

According to The Sun, Kieran held his wife's hand during the operation and cried after the little girl, who does not yet have a name, was born.

When their first child together, Jett, was born by emergency Caesarean last August, Kieran apparently was not in theatre and vanished soon after seeing her in the recovery room.

Katie has said of Jett's birth: "I thought, 'What the hell's going on?' There isn't one time I remember Kieran saying, 'Well done babes, we've had a baby'."

A friend of Katie's told The Sun: "It couldn't be more different this time around. Kieran has been her rock. It's only Kieran who has been able to keep her together through it all.

"She was so scared about losing the baby. It wasn't a pleasant operation but she was absolutely ecstatic that her little girl was healthy.

"When the baby was delivered, Kieran started crying like a baby. She feels the birth of his daughter has made him see the light."

Katie also posted a photo on Twitter of her new daughter clutching Kieran's hand, captioned: "Daddy's little girl :)"
