WHAT an ironic title. Responding as to why she decided to relocate from London to Los Angeles, Jessie J is quoted: “In America they see me as a singer, whereas here I feel that people don’t appreciate my voice.”

Well she may well have the pipes, the looks and the occasional hit song; it would appear that our Jessie also possesses the same public relations skills as Ringo Starr.

The former Miss Jessica Cornish does have a point though. Her hurricane-like powerhouse theatrical vocals are there to be admired, but are hard to love.

Technically, Jessie J can sing the pants off fellow Brit School graduates Leona Lewis and Adele, but she lacks their warmth and integrity, which is a shame.

Besides, we Brits rarely warm to a clever clogs. Astonishingly 52 writers are credited for the dozen Sweet Talker tracks. There is not a bad song on the set.

Indeed, Bang Bang featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj was a number one single, but you doubt whether this album will be cherished even by loyal fans, come the New Year.
