LAUNCHED at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the artist also known as J-Lo showcased her tenth studio album A.K.A on a worldwide stage in the company of Pitbull and Claudia Leitte.
What better stage could the hottest Hispanic ask for, especially as it came long before Tuesday’s 7-1 semi-final catastrophe. Although unlikely to appeal to anyone without at least two other Lopez CDs in their collection, A.K.A is a perfect example of delivering a custom-made aural delight for a loyal, devoted audience. I Luh Ya Papi, featuring French Montana, and Booty, and guest artist Pitbull, are super-slick, Latin dance tracks indicative of a very polished album worthy of the global megastar.
However, as is ever the case with Ms Lopez, style ends up winning out over content, and unfortunately the collection does not possess a single song a non-devotee will remember once the party ends.
