PINK Floyd’s Roger Waters rates him “probably the most musically gifted bass player there’s ever been”.
Step forward bassist, singer, composer and Cream legend Jack Bruce, who will lead His Big Blues Band in York this spring.
Noted for his improvisational skill and free-spirited approach to composition and performance, his pioneering, full toned, free-wheeling playing of the electric bass has revolutionised the way the instrument is used, influencing the likes of Sting and Jaco Pastorius.
His March 26 show will combine new Bruce works with selections from past days in Cream and the Tony Williams Lifetime.
Tickets cost £26 on 0844 871 3024 or online at atgtickets.com/york
