ART rockers Grammatics will play a one-off warm-up gig at Stereo, in Gillygate, York, on Wednesday to test new material ahead of their trip to the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.
“Owen Brinley’s band have recently had a break from touring after the success of last year’s self-titled debut album demanded they should spent lots of the year on the road,” says promoter Joe Coates.
“They’re now busy writing their second album, having toured with Bloc Party, Maximo Park, These New Puritans and Pulled Apart By Horses and played Leeds and Reading festivals last summer.”
The Standbys and Darker Shades Of Gorgeous will be the support acts on the 7.30pm bill. Tickets cost £5 in advance or £6.50 on the door.
