THE National Youth Jazz Collective bring the future of British jazz to Pocklington School's Tom Stoppard Theatre today.
Each year they run a week-long National Youth Jazz Summer School, open to all-comers through a national audition tour to identify the most outstanding young players from around England.
This year the standard was higher than ever, and the young musicians have spent the past week at Pocklington School.
The summer school ends with a performance by the students, who share their arrangements of a wide variety of jazz tunes today from 5pm to 8pm.
Tickets are free, although you will be asked to consider donating to the jazz collective's work, and they can be secured through eventbrite.co.uk/e/nyjc-summer-school-2018-closing-concert-tickets-46144480383.
