THE release date of Poldark and Ordeal By Innocence star Eleanor Tomlinson's debut collection of folk-influenced covers, Tales From Home, is being put back from May 18 to June 8.

Song choices on this Sony Music Masterworks album include Simon & Garfunkel's Homeward Bound, Carole King's Tapestry and Bonnie Raitt's I Can’t Make You Love Me, along with a number of traditional Irish and Scottish folk songs, such as The Spinning Wheel, recorded as a duet with Eleanor’s brother, Ross Tomlinson.

Sparked by Tomlinson singing a lullaby on Poldark, she made Tales From Home with Poldark soundtrack composer Anne Dudley, recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to British Music award at the 2017 Ivor Novello Awards. Dudley has recorded previously recorded with Elton John, Tina Turner and Robbie Williams and received an Oscar for composing the score for The Full Monty.

Tomlinson says: "I’m incredibly excited to announce the release of my debut album Tales From Home. To have the opportunity to perform some of my favourite songs with Anne Dudley’s brilliant new arrangements has been wonderful, not to mention working alongside my brother Ross. I would like to thank the Poldark fans who inspired me to make this album. Without their support, this would not have been possible."

The full track listing will be Homeward Bound; I Can’t Make You Love Me; If You Could Read My Mind; She Moved Through The Fair; Tapestry; The Spinning Wheel; Who Knows Where The Time Goes; Hushabye Mountain; The Wild Mountainside; The House Carpenter; The Water Is Wide and I Find Your Love.

Soon to return to the screen as Demelza Poldark in the fourth series of BBC1's Poldark later this spring, 25-year-old Tomlinson also will appear alongside Keira Knightley and Dominic West in the film Colette later this year. She has just starred alongside Bill Nighy and Anna Chancellor in Agatha Christie's Ordeal By Innocence on BBC1.
