SHEFFIELD'S Arctic Monkeys have sold out their September tour in under an hour, even after adding five extra shows in London, Birmingham,  Newcastle, Dublin and their home city this morning.

The South Yorkshiremen will be touring in the wake of releasing their sixth album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, on May 11on the Domino label.

Produced by James Ford and frontman Alex Turner, the recordings were made in Los Angeles, Paris and London for their first release since September 2013's AM.

The LP version will come with a gatefold sleeve, lyric and photo booklet and, exclusively via the AM Store, on silver vinyl, and the album also will be available on standard CD and vinyl and digitally too.

After a summer of festival dates, Arctic Monkeys will play 14 British concerts in September, including three shows at the Sheffield FlyDSA Arena on September 18, 19 and 21, with The Lemon Twigs as the support act.
