AMERICAN country singer Sarah Darling will play The Basement, City Screen, York, on March 19 on her biggest British headline tour to date.

After opening slots for chart-topping Ward Thomas, touring Britain with her own Night in Nashville shows and performing at the C2C: Country To Country festival in 2016 and 2017, Darling returns for 12 shows.

She will present songs from her three studio albums, 2010's Every Monday Morning, 2011's Angels & Devils and 2017's Dream Country, as well as previewing material from her as yet untitled 2018 album.

"I am so excited to return to the UK for a release party of sorts," she says. "My newest single is scheduled to release on March 2 and I cannot wait to celebrate with my UK fans."

Darling gave a taster of her upcoming album during her sold-out Christmas concert at St Pancras Old Church last month, where she revealed she has been working with Mark Bright, the producer with Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire on his credits list. Her Christmas setlist included Angel Wings, a song co-written with Hampshire sisters Ward Thomas and sure to be showcased again on her March tour.
