SPARKS will play Leeds O2 Academy on May 23 as one of only three dates on their British spring tour.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday at allsparks.com/calendar/ for a show where Californian brothers Ron and Russell Mael will combine songs from their 23rd album, last September's top ten success, Hippopotamus, with their Seventies' hits and more besides.

Expect to hear such new songs as Edith Piaf Said It Better Than Me, What The Hell Is It This Time? and Missionary Position alongside This Town Ain’t Big Enough For Both Of Us, Amateur Hour and The Number One Song In Heaven.

"We're extremely thrilled to continue the celebration of Hippopotamus live in concert with all our UK fans," say the Maels. "The joy you expressed last year was overwhelming. Bring on 2018!"
