STEVE Steinman’s Vampires Rock show The Ghost Train rolled into the Grand Opera House in York in Hallowe'en week last night.
Steinman’s Vampires Rock shows combine a twist of rock and a hint of comedy with classic rock anthems as Steve ramps up the vamp in his guise as the vampire Baron von Rockula.
Building on the success of more than a decade of Vampires Rock concerts, Steinman has created the Vampires Rock saga The Ghost Train, wherein Steinman's Baron and his band of blood-sucking vampires flee the ill-fated Live and Let Die club as it burns to the ground.
In search of a new home, eventually they come across an old abandoned fairground ride The Ghost Train, where they take refuge, whereupon the Baron and his motley crew set a cunning plan to lure victims into the ride and to live in rock'n'roll hell forever.
Amid mischief and mayhem, this humorous horror show is packed with "fang-tastic fire routines, guitar gods and sexy vampettes", performing the hits of Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Meat Loaf, Bon Jovi and more besides.
