THE Libertines will have two support acts at their Scarborough Spa Grand Hall gig on September 26.

Hip hop/indie rock artist Rat Boy and punk musician Lucie Barât will perform before brother Carl Barât and Peter Doherty's band on their Tiddeley Om Pom Pom Tour, a unique run of shows that will be performed at only seven British seaside towns.

Rat Boy, the alias of 21-year-old Jordan Curdy, from Chelmsford, Essex, released his debut studio album, Scum, last Friday after developing his fan base across Britain, which led to his signing by Parlophone Records. Already he has won Best New Act in the MTV Brand New and BBC Sound of 2016 awards and Best New Artist in the NME Awards.

Until now, Lucie Barât has always performed in bands, recording with legendary David Bowie producer Mark Plati and latterly with The Au Revoirs.

Embarking on a solo career, her drive, passion, stage presence and thought-provoking lyrics fit perfectly alongside a contemporary, beat-driven synth/pop sound.
