ELKIE Brooks is postponing tomorrow's show at the Grand Opera House, York, to December 4 after being taken ill with a chest infection.
"Regretfully, under strict doctor's orders, she will not be able to perform," reads a statement from the Cumberland Street theatre. "Elkie apologises to all those hoping to attend for any disappointment and inconvenience caused. Thankfully the Grand Opera House has agreed to reschedule this event to Monday, December 4 2017, and Elkie looks forward to playing for you then."
This is the second time the 72-year-old Salford singer has re-arranged her 2017 appearance in York, after initially moving the show from January 19 to July 20. Tickets remain valid for the new date; those requiring a refund should ring 0844 871 3024.
