IMAGINE a room full of the saxophone greats, Junior Walker, King Curtis, Clarence Clemons, Charlie Parker, Michael Brecker and more. Snake Davis can deliver them all – sultry sax, searing sax, screaming sax, sexy sax, soulful sax – and will do so at York Theatre Royal tomorrow night (July 7).

Once the lynchpin of York band Zoot & The Roots, he will present Snake Davis: Classic Sax Solos in a 7.30pm show wherein he and his band will perform the likes of Baker Street, Harlem Nocturne, Pink Panther and his own solos from Take That's Million Love Songs, Lisa Stansfield's Change and M People's Search For The Hero and Moving On Up. Along the way, he will tell you more about the songs and the solos, armed with facts and insights.

Davis has performed on more than 400 records, working with The Eurythmics, George Michael, Ray Charles and Tom Jones, as well as Take That, Stansfield and M People. Tickets are on sale on 01904 623568 or at yorktheatreroyal.co.uk
