BIG Ian Donaghy is predicting quick ticket sales for his latest fund-raising edition of A Night To Remember at York Barbican on April 13.
"I'll be presenting the most varied inclusive evening of music to raise dementia awareness in the city," says the Huge frontman. "Everybody is performing free with all proceeds being split 50/50 between St Leonard's Hospice and some exciting projects to enrich the lives of people living with dementia in York."
On the 7.30pm bill will be Chris Helme, Jess Steel, Heather Findlay, These Jaded Streets (formerly The Y Street Band), Boss Caine, Graham Hodge, Beth McCarthy, Kieran O'Malley, Hands & Voices Choir, Samantha Holden and "heart-throb poster boy" Las Vegas Ken!
"The show will feature the music of Adele, Joe Cocker, James Taylor, Cher and Kylie Minogue, and plenty more," says Big Ian. "This is York helping York coming together for A Night To Remember."
Big Ian's event has expanded over the years, moving from York Theatre Royal to the Grand Opera House and onwards to the York Barbican. Tickets for April 13 cost £16.70 on 0844 854 2757, at yorkbarbican.co.uk or in person from the Barbican box office.
