YORK band Hello Operator see out their breakthrough year with their latest Operator Hour night, named after their single of the same name, at Thomas's Bar, Museum Street, York, on Thursday.
This year, lead singer and rhythm guitarist Max Dalton, drummer Eddy Ellison, lead guitarist Peter Greenwood and bass player Robin Elliott have signed to Sony ATV Music Publishing, toured the country, played several major festivals, such as Leeds Festival at Bramham Park and Isle of Wight, and released three single and a four-track EP.
Operator Hour has been a regular event throughout 2016 and each time the night has been packed out. The Christmas edition "promises to be the most exciting yet", bringing together Hello Operator, fellow York musicians Ashley James and Naked Six and Leeds band The Strawberries.
BBC Radio York presenter Jericho Keys, a close friend of Hello Operator, will be DJing on the night and everyone has agreed to play for nowt at this free 7pm gig.
