YORK Mind will build on the success of last year's Winter Concert by holding another one at the National Centre for Early Music, York, tonight.

The 7.30pm line-up includes soul-infused melodic folk performer Zak Ford, Holly Taymar and Chris Bilton's gentle acoustic duo The Bronze and Joshua Burnell and Band, who in their short time together have shaken up the world of prog and folk rock music with their epic fantasy ballads and fiddle tunes.

York Mind fundraiser Holly Bilton – Holly Taymar by her marital name – has organised the event. “I'm thrilled and delighted with the acts who have joined us for this year’s line-up for our annual Winter Concert," she says.

"We have a high-quality line-up, where not one act is the same as the other and I really can’t wait to see the show. All the money raised during the evening will be donated to York Mind, an independent charity that helps people in York who are suffering from mental ill health.”

Admission is £8 or £6 for concessions; tickets can be booked by visiting wegottickets.com/event/379594 or phoning the York Mind reception on 01904 643 364. Alternatively, pay on the door. For more information on the Winter Concert, visit yorkmind.org.uk
