SCOTTISH singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald will play York Barbican on March 29 next spring in the only Yorkshire show of her first British tour in four years.

Full details of 29-year-old Amy's fourth album, including its lead-off single, will be revealed later this week, coinciding with tickets for her 13 concerts going on general sale on Friday at 10am, although fans can sign up at amymacdonald.co.uk to apply for pre-sale from tomorrow.

Macdonald has released three albums, 2007's This Is The Life, 2010's A Curious Thing and 2012's Life In A Beautiful Light, accruing more than five million sales worldwide, including 1.5 million in Britain.

She last played a North Yorkshire gig at the Scarborough Spa Grand Hall in July 2013, having made her Barbican debut in March that year in her first appearance in York since the Glaswegian drew a full house to Fibbers in the week of release of This Is The Life in August 2007 at the age of 19.
