HOW many musicians does it take to make a Britney Spears album? Well, according to the extensive artist credits, 80 were directly involved on Britney’s ninth studio set Glory, including an astonishing 23 producers!

Executive producer Karen Kwak wanted to surround Ms Spears with “the most fun” collaborators and bring back the magic of Britney’s glory years, when she recorded Black Out and The Zone.

It transpires that more than 40 complete tracks were recorded from the sessions, although only a dozen made the standard version’s final cut. To be fair, all those cooks have delivered a pretty decent broth, and the slimmed down Glory set is one which long-term fans will enjoy.

In particular, Makes Me…, Clumsy, Private Show and Do You Wanna Come Over are old-school perky pop tunes worthy of a megastar.

Promotion wise, Britney proved a great sport, appearing on the Late Late Show with James Cordon. Gleefully she engaged in the now internationally famous (thanks to Michele Obama) Carpool Karaoke, belting out her new hit Makes Me… along with old favourites Womanizer, Toxic and Baby One More Time.
