SAXOPHONIST Snake Davis returns to Helmsley Arts Centre on Saturday night to perform his Classic Sax Solos show, accompanied by keyboards, guitar, bass and drums.
Davis will be performing upwards of 20 songs and sax breaks from the 1950s to the 1990s, such as Baker Street, Careless Whisper, Still Crazy After All These Years, Respect and Yakety Yak, alongside his own solos from Take That's A Million Love Songs, M People's Moving On Up and Search For The Hero, and Lisa Stansfield's Change.
In his 7.30pm show, Snake reveals the background and history of each song, as well as playing them in context, asking such questions as What is their individual magic ingredient? What makes them classic? How did they come about? How did the players produce that magic?
Tickets are available from helmsleyarts.co.uk or on 01439 771700.
