TEN Strings Duo, alias Davide Sciacca and Marianatalia Ruscica, will perform a fundraising concert for the Burkino Faso Appeal at All Saints Church, Ripley, near Harrogate, on July 26.

Sciacca gained a diploma with honours in guitar in his home town of Catania, a port on Sicily's east coast, in 2008 and has since acquired a host of further diplomas and degrees, culminating in a diploma in chamber music from the Conservatoire Bellini in Palermo in 2015.

He has won international competitions; judged international guitar and chamber music competitions; performed solo guitar concerts and appeared with chamber music groups and as a soloist with orchestras in theatres, universities, churches and cathedrals. He regularly lectures at universities in Britain and Italy.
