SCOTTISH singer-songwriter K T Tunstall will play York Barbican on November 5 as part of a 13-date tour in the wake of the September release of her as-yet-untitled new album.

Tunstall, who turns 41 tomorrow, sees the record "in spirit as the follow-up" to her 2004 debut, Eye To The Telescope. Already she has issued a taster, in the guitar pop form of her new three-track EP Golden State, produced by Tony Hoffer, written by KT and recorded in Los Angeles, where she now lives.

The BRIT and Ivor Novello Award-winning Tunstall last released a record in June 2013, Invisible Empire/Crescent Moon, and her earlier albums were Drastic Fantastic in 2007 and Tiger Suit in 2010.

Tickets for Tunstall's only Yorkshire gig on her November tour go on sale on Friday from 10am on 0844 854 2757 or at yorkbarbican.co.uk
