Next Monday at Fibbers in York, they will be will be promoting Vicennial – 20 Years Of The Hot 8 Brass Band, a compilation that expresses how their music has pushed them through a series of trials since emerging via the Louisiana city's parade culture.

The devastation of Hurricane Katrina, the deaths of four band members, and the horror of trumpeter Terrell “Burger” Batiste losing his legs in a car crash, conspired to test these men almost to breaking point, However, they honour their fallen friends and work towards the future of their community by putting their energies into projects at home and touring as much as possible.
