YORK Mind will play host to an evening of acoustic music in their 2015 Winter Concert at the National Centre for Early Music, York, on Friday night.

"After the success of last year’s debut event, we're delighted to be showcasing the talent of four of the North East’s top musicians this week," says event organiser Holly Pollard, the York Mind fundraiser, who will be familiar to York music circles as singer-songwriter Holly Taymar.

In the 7.30pm line-up will be York folk singer David Ward Maclean, singer-songwriter Dan Webster, modern one-man band Paul Liddell and Americana/folk singer-songwriter Edwina Hayes, who has performed at Glastonbury and toured with Jools Holland.

“I'm thrilled and delighted that David, Dan, Paul and Edwina have agreed to be part of our annual Winter Concert, which has now become a permanent fixture in the York Mind event calendar" says Holly.

"We have a high-quality line-up, where not one act is the same as the other and I really can’t wait to seeing the show. All money raised during the evening will be donated to York Mind, an independent charity that helps people in York with mental ill health. ”

Tickets are on sale at £8, concessions £6, at wegottickets.com/event/334896, by calling the York Mind reception on 01904 643 364 or on the door.
