CHECHELELE, the world music choir from York, will give two concerts at the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time this weekend.
The a cappella community choir will perform 45-minute sets at 6pm on Saturday and Sunday in The Space at The Surgeons' Hall, in Nicolson Street, Edinburgh, as well as busking on the Lower Stage on the Royal Mile at 1.50pm each day.
As ever, Chechelele will sing songs of love, death, freedom, slavery and everyday life, collected from around the globe, from Africa to the Balkans, New Zealand to South America and everywhere in between. "We love songs with meaning and we make harmonies to reflect moods of joy and thoughtfulness," say the choir.

In addition, Celtic singer-songwriter and Chechelele member Paula Ryan will perform 50-minute solo shows at the same location at 4.05pm on both days; box office, tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/paula-ryan-celtic-singer-songwriter
