THE 30 Years Of MOR Music Festival will be held at the Fulford Arms, York, on Sunday from 12 noon to 11pm.

Now based in Franklins Yard, off Fossgate, the MOR Music shop was established in York in 1985, initially in Micklegate, and has made its mark on the York music scene for three decades.

"So, to celebrate our 30th anniversary, we’re holding an all-day music festival on the Monday of the Spring Bank Holiday weekend," says co-owner Lynne O'Dea.

"We actively support the local musical community by holding these events, showcasing little-known acts and giving them the opportunity to play in front of a wider audience, alongside well-known local talent.

"We've held successful music events over the past few years, from the York 800 MOR Music Festival in 2012, where over 5,000 people attended our outdoor festival, to Music On Rails (MOR) Festival at the National Railway Museum last year, which had a full stage in Station Hall and acoustic acts doing sets on a moving steam train."

Entry to the 30 Years of MOR Music Festival event will be free.
