YORK'S Little Festival of Live Music will host a seven-day event at the York Food and Drink Festival in September.

Set up in 2013, the festival offers a platform for established and new and upcoming talent to showcase their work and has attracted musicians from all over Britain.

The festival is seeking 28 acts to join the 2015 line-up from September 18 to 26, except for blank days on September 21 and 22. All funds raised during the event will be donated to a York charity.

Festival organiser Ellen Cole says: “We've received so much support over the past two years and are thrilled to be part of the York Food and Drink Festival once again. During the event we have an announcement to share with everyone regarding the festival’s future. I can’t say much about it at the moment, but it's going to offer musicians a very exciting platform to perform on; one that's not been seen in York or Yorkshire.”

To apply to be part of the festival, send an email to YorksLiveMusicFestival@gmail.com. For more information on the festival, go to facebook.com/YorksLittleFestivalOfLiveMusic or follow @Live_Music_Fest on Twitter. Applications to join the festival must be sent by 5pm on Sunday, May 31.
