YORK classic rock band Mostly Autumn launch their concert programme for 2015 with a home-city gig at Fibbers on Saturday night.

Guitarist and songwriter Bryan Josh's seven-piece line-up will be touring the Netherlands and Britain to promote Box Of Tears, the live version of their latest studio release, last year's concept album Dressed In Voices.

"The songs explore the dark concept of a killer forced to witness the full weight of all he is taking away, as time briefly comes to a standstill," says Bryan. "We decided this album deserved to be played in its entirety at our gigs last year, and it seemed to be the right decision as it held our audiences spellbound and we were overwhelmed with requests to record a live version. So Box Of Tears, which takes its name from the final track, is due out very soon.”

Mostly Autumn take to the road buoyed by receiving the awards for Best Live Concert and Best Female Vocalist (Olivia Sparnenn-Josh) in the 2014 Classic Rock Society awards.

They have arranged concerts for each month through to December, 24 dates in all, including Fruit in Hull on September 19 and the Grand Opera House, York, on November 13. Saturday's 8pm show will be their first at Fibbers' new home in Toft Green and they hope Fibbers can become a regular gig in their diary, complementing their Opera House shows.

Tickets for Saturday are on sale at fibbers.co.uk and on the door from 7.30pm; Opera House tickets on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york
