CYCLING enthusiast and North Yorkshire pop musician Alistair Griffin will perform at an after-race party at Danby Village Hall tomorrow night on day one of the Tour de Yorkshire.

He and his band will play a mix of original material and party classics, and he is sure to sing The Road, the official anthem he wrote for last year’s Grand Départ for the Tour de France and recorded with former Girls Aloud vocalist Kimberley Walsh.

“Performing on your home patch is always special and, as a big cycling fan, it seemed a great thing to do as so many people are going to be out and about watching the race as it comes through the Esk valley in the afternoon.”

Doors open at 7pm; tickets are available at thelittleboxoffice.com/alistairgriffin
