The Shepherd Group’s Concert Brass Band in action
THE Shepherd Group Concert and the Shepherd Group Academy Brass Bands will swarm at The Hive Theatre at Manor CE Academy, Millfield Lane, Poppleton, York, on May 16 to entertain a 7.30pm audience with their musical nectar.
This spring concert follows on from two more of the Shepherd Group brass bands entertaining 200 people at the Hive at the end of January. This time, the the Academy Band will play several pieces, under the eye of musical director Richard Wilton, before the Concert Band, fronted by conductor Mike Pratt, performs upbeat music to “put a buzz in the ear and a waggle in your dance”.
