SARAH Cracknell, one third of peerless British electronic pop artists Saint Etienne, will play Leeds City Varieties Music Hall on Sunday, June 21, the closing night of her five-date tour.
Sarah’s travels will follow the June 15 release of her second solo album, Red Kite, nearly two decades since her first, Lipslide, in 1997. The new record is said to be a gorgeous, understated collection of pastoral songs recorded in an Oxfordshire barn that can be heard in the series of low-key gigs alongside the occasional reworked Saint Etienne classic.
The support slot will be filled by Sacramento’s Sea Of Bees. Tickets are on sale on 0845 644 1881 and at cityvarieties.co.uk
