THE 42nd Harrogate International Youth Festival will welcome music and performing arts groups from Germany and Canada this Easter and plans are being confirmed for groups from as far afield as Thailand and Kenya.
Further additions are expected, while Yorkshire and British talent will be taking part too, such as the National Youth Marching Band and Harrogate’s Rock Up And Sing. Events will be held at Harrogate Royal Hall, Fountains Abbey, Harewood House and Newby Hall, among others, between April 4 and 8.
“Each year we welcome incredible talent from all over the globe and this year will not disappoint,” says chairman Mike Clark. “We will combine jazz, big band, orchestral music, choirs and dance in an exciting and dynamic programme, kicking off with the Easter Parade on the Saturday.”
