CULT York punk singer Stevie ZeSuicide will fly out to Japan on January 27 on a tour of personal appearances at high-street record stores and radio interviews to promote the release of his first album in the country.

“Posters have already been put up in and around Tokyo and the album, Dancing With Spiders, has been received with great enthusiasm, as have the posters” says Stevie. “I’m really looking forward to the trip; the nearest I’ve ever been to this is when I played in Singapore.”

Ze Suicide will perform tracks from the album and such U.K. Subs songs as Stranglehold and Warhead from his days as the London punk combo’s drummer. “Many David Bowie fans of his Ziggy Suicide work have picked up on Dancing With Spiders, as Bowie’s legendary bass player, the late Trevor Bolder, both produced and played on it at his East Yorkshire studio,” says Stevie.
