FRIDAY night will be Ska night in York tomorrow when The Skapones play the Clifton Hotel, in Water Lane, York, at 7.30pm.

"Accompanied by DJ Rob, we're bringing our brand of 2Tone and British Ska classics with a northern bite back to York after a very successful gig at The Spread Eagle last autumn," says frontman and Ska expert Paul Williams. "We've also been asked to headline the York March Of The Mods gig on March 15 at Huntington & District WMC, in North Moor Road, in a fund-raiser for the Teenage Cancer Trust that will run from 3pm to 11pm."

The Skapones have signed on the dotted line to appear at the Stone Valley Festival in Stanhope, County Durham, on June 26 and at the Feurewerks Open Air Festival in Mainz, Germany, in the same month. Before then, they will be joined by special guests Roddy Radiation and Jon Read, from The Specials, for a Teenage Cancer Trust gig on April 3 at The Longlands Club in Middlesbrough.

Tickets for tomorrow are on sale at £3 at the Clifton Hotel and on the door.
