YORK folk harmony duo Union Jill will sing "everything we know, and more besides" at their "It's A Girl" Christmas show at The Basement, City Screen, York, on Sunday night.
After a year of touring the country, Helen Turner and Sharon Winfield return home intent on having some festive fun. "Expect spine-tingling harmonies, songs that tell stories and banter you only get from two women sharing a stage," they say.
"We've had a fabulous run of Letting Off Steam shows with the lovely Kate Fox, who'll be on BBC Radio 4 next Spring with her own series, and we're planning to take the show to the Edinburgh Fringe next summer."
Tickets cost £6 on 0871 902 5726 or at thebasement.co.uk or on the door from 7.30pm.
