BLUE and Atomic KIitten are linking up for a boy band/girl group double bill at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on August 29 next summer.
Blue's Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe have sold 15 million albums worldwide since they were catapulted to fame in 2001 with their top five single All Rise. They have chalked up three number one albums, recorded collaborations with Elton John and Stevie Wonder and represented the UK in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.
In the past year, Blue have played 170 shows and events and in 2015, a new reality ITV show will follow the boys’ trials and tribulations as they attempt to run a bar in Ibiza.
Blue’s last album, Roulette, was a collaboration with Grammy-winning producer RedOne; their next one will reignite the band’s signature style of soaring emotional ballads and energetic pop productions.
Atomic Kitten head into 2015 with a headlining world tour and a new album on the way. The line-up has changed over 15 years as band members start families and pursue other projects and next year's Kittens – surely more cats than kittens by now – comprise original members Kerry Katona and Liz McClarnon plus Natasha Hamilton.
Tickets cost £35 on 01723 821888 or at scarboroughspa.co.uk
